Friday Flowers: A Camellia Unfolds

Just this week, the big camellia bush by the front door has started to unfurl its flowers.  I captured one of the first flowers as it opened, in a lovely, asymetrical way that caught my eye and make me check on it every day....

And here's a pair of them... and by the way, this is the REAL color of these flowers:

HAPPY FRIDAY... and have a lovely stitch-filled weekend!

What a gorgeous color! Up north we are still having a little snow, so it is good to know spring is coming!

They are beautiful - I love them also. For some reason mine bloomed in December, unseasonably warm, I was able to use them in my Christmas arrangements - a bonus. I'll enjoy yours now, the color is wonderful.

So pretty. You have the same color my Nannie has. i just saw one two days ago on her kitchen table. She likes to have one floating in a bowl on the table. Smells pretty too.
love Annette
